Reserve training duty, part of regular crew maintaining ship for reserves to acquire their sea duty requirements. Ship was originally commissioned in 1945 and at my time of service was exposed to fire fighting drills using foam as our boilers used fuel oil for combustion. Ship had 4 600 lb super heated steam boilers in its two boiler rooms. The entire ship also had the high concentration of asbestos, that in the 70s left a dust everywhere including sleeping berths. Am currently on chemo and radiation therapy for my 6th cancer in the last ten years, could they be connected?
