Combat medic/surgical tech/EMT
I served two years as a Vietnam veteran and four years during peacetime. I assisted with “Operation Homecoming” liberating our Vietnam POWs, as well as the “Mariqez (spelling?) I performed minor plastic surgery in the ER at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, TX until 1975 when South Vietnam was overcome in April 1975. POWs were liberated and flown around the world to military hospitals, including Wilford
Hall USAF Medical Center under Gen. Paul W. Myers who later became Lt. Gen and became the AF Surgeon General after serving as my Vietnam commander .
