Responsible for the daily, special, and major inspections and repair of the powerplant, rotor, fuel, and transmission systems on the Sikorsky SH-60F and HH-60H helicopters. Additional duties included Work Center Supervisor for Corrosion Control, Command Assistant Training Coordinator of over 200 maintenance personal records, and the Squadron Emergency Reclamation Team (ERT) leader. Received the Navy Achievement Medal for outstanding performance and zero discrepancies during an ERT safety evaluation by the Naval Safety Center during an annual squadron safety evaluation.

As a junior H-60 aircraft maintainer, I was tasked with assisting in launching, recovering, refueling, washing, and inspecting the SH-60B before and after every evolution and after every major inspection. Responsibilities included assisting senior mechanics in repairing, replacing, and maintaining the powerplant, rotor, transmission, and fuel systems and subsystems. Assisted in performing daily, monthly and all major inspections and overhauls. Participated in cross-training to assist other senior maintainers in their fields. Collateral duties included tool control and maintenance training coordinator. Received a NAM for outstanding performance during a Naval Safety Center squadron inspection and various LOCs.

Deployed with HSL-48 Detachment 1 on board USS Doyle FFG-39 in support of Operation Active Endeavour. Responsible for maintaining one SH-60B Seahawk helicopter by performing daily and major inspections and repairs, pre/post flight inspections, and launch and recovery evolutions.
