I joined the Army for money for College in 1981, 12B/81B, married Dec 84, failed college first go around in 85, enlisted in Marine Corp Reserve Jun 85, Tanker. Made a inter-service transfer back to Army, Mar 86. served 3 1/2 years as Tanker, went to selection for SF Sep 90. Became a SF Engineer May 92. Team Sergeant in Civil Affairs Unit. Assistant Operations/Intelligence SGT. Tours in OEF/OIF.

I was a Team Sergeant of a Tactical Support Team w/ a Civil Affairs BN. We went in an made battle damage or natural disaster assessments, to restore the basic essentials of life for sustainment within the area we were in. Restoring water supplies, electricity, rebuilding shelters, hospitals, schools, roads, communications and giving medical help.

Trained the Kenyan Government in a FEMA program of disaster relief, Emergency Command Center, reallocation of country assets during a crisis, developing resources recovery and storage. Learning to work together as a whole all across the country to help areas that need it most. Establishing a network of agencies to address natural disasters!
