First Sergeant
Managed 205 personnel from several diverse sections in a demanding environment; reviewed all performance counseling, award recommendations and other administrative requests; trained and developed all junior and senior leaders to increase their knowledge and groom them for promotion; made recommendations for promotions and disciplinary actions; prepared reports on training and personnel statuses and briefed to higher headquarters weekly; conducted inspections of individual section training and provided feedback to those section leaders.
Aug 2004 - Feb 2007
Operations Sergeant
Managed 13 individuals; oversaw the planning process on both a short-term and strategic level and received input from the various staff sections; drafted plans based on those inputs and prepared the commander's mission statement and intent; tracked subordinate units; ensured that after action reviews were conducted and lessons learned were incorporated into future planning; served as the Effects Working Group leader obtaining and synthesizing data to produce an assessment which I briefed to the provincial governor, my commander, and our next higher headquarters.
