I began my military career in the USAF as a Fire Protection Specialist at Eglin AFB, FL from '89-'90. From there, I PCS'd to Eielson AFB, AK from '90-'94. I left active duty in '94 and continued in the USAF Reserve as a firefighter at Travis AFB, CA from '95-'00. In 2000, I joined the CA ANG at Moffett Field and became an Aerial Gunner on HH-60G Pavehawk helicopters, and served there until '06.
