Bio
I graduated with a BA but joined the army as way to pay for a higher education & serve my country. I also wanted to see the world and gain experience for teaching. On active duty I went to BCT, and they told us we would see action, but I didn't believe it. Later, I went to AIT and deployed to Iraq in 2011-2012. When off duty, I volunteered, exercised, and took advantage of the army's excellent networking and career transition opportunities. After ETS, I earned my MA from Concordia using the GI Bill. During the pandemic, I also had an on-line tutoring business. The internet makes this straightforward, but you need to make sure there is no conflict-of-interest. Currently, I work as an Education Specialist after completing a rigorous Teacher Residency/Certificate program.
