Bio

Highly successful senior noncommissioned officer with over 18 years leadership and managerial experience with a proven record of achieving outstanding results. Experienced in all phases and methods of planning, programming, initiating and conducting projects of significance to agency programs and transformation initiatives providing flexible solutions. Meet Victor S. Angry, retired Army with over twenty-three years of active federal service; Entrepreneur, Volunteer Firefighter, Toastmaster, Drywall Finisher, DJ, Mentor, Coach, Marathon Runner for a cause, father, brother and husband. Born in Altamonte Springs, Florida, Victor dreamed big and was no stranger to hard work. After graduating from Lyman High School in Longwood, Florida in 1986, his work ethic was put to the test when he joined the United States Army. It was in the Army that Victor developed a love for fitness, commitment to service, and the ability to successfully and passionately lead others. Victor Angry was the first African American to hold the position as Command Sergeant Major of the entire Army National Guard. He was responsible for more than 368,200 Soldiers in all 50 states, 3 territories and the District of Washington. He is an unwavering advocate and supporter of all who are working towards bettering themselves. Victor started his company, A is for ANGRY! LLC, because he wanted to put the same fervent energy he put into working for others, into working for himself, doing what he loves to do: motivating and inspiring others. Through A is for ANGRY! LLC, Victor provides Professional Speaking Services that focus on Leadership, Training, Education, and Public Speaking Workshops. He offers Transitional Workshops for military members who are embarking on the often-challenging shift from the military force to civilian life. He focuses on Financial Support, Plain Language (translating military language into corporate language), and connecting liked-minds together to provide a seamless, successful transitional environment. Community is essential to him. He ardently believes that helping others become successful is the key to our own success, as well as the key to maintaining thriving communities. Mr. Angry holds a master’s degree in Human Resource Management from Central Michigan University; a bachelor’s degree in Justice Administration from Hawaii Pacific University and an Associate’s degree in Leader Development from Hawaii Pacific University. He is a life member of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA), the Enlisted Association of the National Guard of the United States (EANGUS) and the Army Aviation Association of America (AAAA). He is a current member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), Blacks in Government (BIG), the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) and Veterans of Foreign War (VFW). A proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., and a member of Toastmasters International Inc. where he has held official positions as twice club president and Area Governor.
