Field Radio Operator
radio operator for 2nd recon a company. Went on 1 float with a bunch of boots out of ranger school to Viegas Island.. They were with C Company.. Still building up after those guys got killed in the Barracks in Beirut.. all I remember is I kept finding their Ranger coins on the sleeping quarters of the deck all the time.. last deployment active duty. Did get to stop in Ft. launderdale.. 48 hours of fun in the sun..

head RTO for B company and head coxwain for B Co, headed the first company size boat deployment since Vietnam. In charge of 6 boats & crews in 1983 to Guam. Deployed in very heavy and high seas.I was not a 0321.. had orders and didn't volunteer for the duty station. Went to the phillipines ( Subic Bay), Guam. Tinian, South Korea, Mainland Japan and Hokkiado (far North) . We were the first US ship in that port since Vietnam..
