Bio
I spent my time in Marine Aviation with the fast movers. F4's, I worked on every variant of F4's the Marine Corps had. I worked in key positions at the organizational level to help develop the AN/TPQ-27 Data Link system. I supported the aircraft side. I actually flew several hours in the backseat in support of this project.
My last tour was with the helos on Okinawa. But I would not fly in a helo!
Was fortunate to turn a hobby into a second career. Had my first computer in 1978. Tinkered and played with them all. Earned the coveted Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer certification. Work for the City of Henderson, Ky as the Network Administrator. About to retire permanently in just a few months.
Permanently retired now and enjoying life.
Military Experiences
May 1997 - Dec 1999
CompTIA A+ Certified Technician.
Computer technician. Certified by Hewlett-Packard, Packard Bell, Compaq, Dell, Toshiba and others to perform warranty repair services on their computer products.
Certified by Hewlett-Packard to perform warranty repair on all of their laser printers at that time, ink jet printers and large scale plotters.
Class room instructor for all Microsoft Office Products.
Aug 1995 - Apr 1997
Wrote application to automate County Attorneys efforts to track, produce arrest warrants or summons for bad check writers.
Developed and sold application for court mandated child support payments tracked and handled by the county attorneys office.

Center served economically disadvantaged youth. Age 16-21 that did not have a high school diploma or job. We provided job seeking skills training, interview skills training, found them jobs on completion of the program.
We also provided initial reading and math skills assessments on program entry. Based on the results of this assessment. A customized remediation curriculum was established for each student.
Those students that desired and scored sufficiently on GED pretests were encouraged to take the state GED tests with the center paying all costs involved.

Quality Assurance NCOIC
Managed the H&MS-36 over all Quality Assurance program. This was done by ensuring hourly and daily scheduled maintenance inspections were completed properly and in a timely manner.
Oversaw efforts to ensure that local work center inspectors were properly vetted through the use of testing and when required observance.
Oversaw the administration of the MAG-36 Technical Publications Library which consisted of several hundred technical books.
In the last few months I became the Squadrons Information Systems Management Officer. Accepted the first computers for the command. Placed them and trained young Marines in the use of Wordstar, SuperCalc and dBase II.

Maintenance Control Chief VMFA-251. NCOIC of Advance Maintenance Crew. Headed to Bodo Norway. Ended up stuck in the Azores for 30 days with a sick F4.
