I am an American who took the Oath of Enlistment at the age of 17 and I still honor that oath 50 years later. I swore to protect and defend the constitution of the United States, and I continue to do so with every ounce of strength and every breath in my body. They were not simply words; they were and are a way of life for me. The Army was my home for 20 years and I will always cherish it.
