Platoon Commander

With most of our Company deployed or gearing up for deployment, my platoon didn't have anyone more senior than me. I held an officers billet for 8 months as a Corporal and a fresh Sergeant. We finally got a Ssgt in June. My priorities changed and I decided to get out to be with my newly married wife. 10 years later I do miss the camaraderie but glad I put my wife first.
