Deployments

(2 years, 8 months)
Sep 2008 - Sep 2009
Iraq ribbon
Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF)
1-25th STRYKER BRIGADE (ALASKA)
Oct 2007 - Nov 2007
India
My Company, C Co 3-21, 1-25th SBCT spent a little over a month in India cross training with the Indian Army. We trained and demonstrated our tactics versus theirs, trained on our weapons systems and their weapons systems. Found out that KingFisher Beer is excellent and the Ghurka Unit we trained with our excellent fighters still used in the Beitish Forces to this day. Most of our time was spent high in the Himalayan Mountains at altitudes above 7,000ft. Also between the monkey poop, bucket cold water showers, and normal Army B.S. It was something we will all remember for life (same with the wild growing pot plants on the base and monster spiders living in the trees making sleeping outside a high pitched nightmare with every tent smartly having a "Spider Watch"). Also the American training highlight our raid of a home were seen as extremely hostile and "too aggressive".
Aug 2005 - Dec 2006
