Deployed with the 31st MEU on the USS Essex. We ported at such places as Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuwait, Dubai, and Perth Australia. We supported the UN in Mogadishu Somalia where we lost Captain "Razor" McKay 3 days prior to operations in Somalia.
