Program Manager/Commander, Space Operations Center
Built the Academy’s first Space Operations Center from concept to full operational capability on a three-month project build schedule, three-month execution schedule, and a limited $20K initial budget. Managed the project ahead of schedule and under budget. Worked closely with the AF Space Warfare Center and NASA as an academic program manager to create a diverse curriculum to include space topics ranging from the AF Space and Missile Analytical Toolkit and FalconView programs to Space Shuttle simulator training. Assumed duties as the center’s first commander during the execution phase.

Directed the planning and execution of summer training programs for over 4000 cadets during a 6-month planning, 9-week project execution cycle. Supervised nine program managers with oversight of 15 separate programs. Controlled a $3 M annual budget. Managed logistics, IT and fleet management programs. Directed the movement of 1000 cadets to over 70 locations worldwide in 9 weeks for Air Force orientation programs. Commanded over 1000 cadre and students in the Academy’s survival training program. Directly responsible for over $50 K in savings over three months through innovating transportation.

Directed operations and personnel issues for a 120-person cadet squadron. Developed and executed a diverse professional development academic regimen for the AF’s future leaders. Mentored cadets in leadership, integrity, ethics and organizational management. Managed a cadet leadership laboratory with real and practical exercises injected into daily life. continuous instruction and guidance. Initiated and directed a new field deployment training program chartered by the Pentagon with a 3-month planning and 9-week execution schedule.

Directed all university recruiting operations for the South Central United States and South America. Managed over 280 field officers in 6 states, conducted management training, developed and monitored marketing, EVM, production plans, and regional evaluations along the organization’s annual project cycle. Program manager for the Academy’s enlisted recruiting program. Produced a rigid program execution schedule to increase AF base visits by 100% and added video conferencing to overseas bases. Region consistently produced the highest number of officer candidates in the nation. 
