With more than 20 years in the security and law enforcement career field, Goodwin began his career as a 9545 Law Enforcement Technician with the US Navy, and later served in commissioned Law Enforcement positions with the Island County Sheriff's Office, the Coulee Dam Police Department And the Dept of Interior Special Response Force. He brings to CNIC/ NRNW and the NavStn Everett Police Precinct extensive law enforcement and security experience having served as a former police officer, crime investigator, physical security specialist, Hostage Negotiator, and Military VIP Security Agent. Goodwin is a graduate of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center's Uniform Police Training Program, Advanced Firearms Academy, Survival Shooter Academy, Ground Control Instructor Program as well as the Washington State Basic Law Enforcement Academy, with over 7 other schools for Advanced Law Enforcement. Additionally, he has served more than 20 years with the U.S. Navy and Navy Reserves in both Security Forces and Convoy Operations. Goodwin has received numerous awards during his career, including several Superior Service Awards, various letters and certificates of recognition for law enforcement achievements. In the Military, Goodwin was awarded numerous medals and awards including the Purple Heart for injuries sustained in combat operations while serving in Iraq. He is about Honor, Service and Duty.
