I was assigned many additional duties, but my main role was to maintain my assigned weapons systems. As a guardsman, most of the MP training revolved around combat situations. Our commander expected us to be proficient in convoy operations, setting up checkpoints and detainee operations. In July of 2015 I graduated from the Warrior Leadership Course, I received the distinguished leader award and was the only soldier in my class to make the Commandants list.
