SSgt Waalkes-Gill entered the Air Force in January 2003 where she enlisted as an all source intelligence analyst and graduated the Community College of the Air Force in 2008 with an associate’s degree. Some highlights of her career include deploying as a JET tasker twice to Afghanistan and once to Iraq, and deploying once to Crete in support of OUP. In Afghanistan she worked first as part of the J-2 at the BDOC at Camp Phoenix in Kabul and the second time she worked J-3 at the JIOC at Camp Gardez. In Iraq she worked as an FMV requirements manager at the Perfume Palace at Camp Slayer in Baghdad. She was a targeteer for the 366th OSS in Mountain Home AFB, ID. She was also an SSO for the 552 Air Control Wing at Tinker AFB, OK.
