Retired as a COL in 2014. Originally commissioned as a 2LT in the Infantry in 1987. Served with 5/20 INF(M) in Korea and 1st Ranger Battalion. Transitioned to Special Forces in 1993 and served primarily in 1st and 3rd BNs of 10th SFG(A) Fort Devens, Fort Carson and Panzer Kaserne, GE. Commanded 3-10 SFG(A) in Iraq in 2007. Attended the Army War College in 2008.
