Personnel Specialist
As a Personnel Specialist I have maintained the pay and personnel records of over 2,000 Sailors from 6 different commands. While attached to the Personnel Office at NOSC Lansing, I was responsible for training service members on the implementation and use of the Electronic Service Record, the travel claim platform Defense Travel System (DTS) and the Navy Reserve Order Writing System (NROWS). I also provided enlisted Sailors with information and counseling related to Navy occupations, opportunities for both general education and job training, requirements for promotion, and rights and benefits.
