Retired due to disability
Placed on the Temporary Disability Retired List in 1970. Retired List in 1975. In the later months of being a hospital patient I was going to physical therapy 3 times a week. So with plenty of extra time I went to the post G1 and asked for a job. Was assigned as the OIC of the G3 Committee conducting 32 hours of training weekly for everyone departing Ft Gordon for RVN. Managed a great group of senior NCOs and gave several hours of instruction weekly.

Generally conducted night patrols or ambushes. Company was attached to the 11th Armored Cav Reg for several weeks as infantry support. My platoon (Lima)worked with ARVN Ranger Company for short time.
