Grady Spann joined Arkansas State Parks in 1993 as the park superintendent for Parkin Archeological State Park. In 2002, he transferred to Historic Washington State Park to serve as park superintendent there. In 2005, he was promoted to general manager for the Ozark Folk Center State Park. In 2012, he advanced to the newly created position of Region 5 Supervisor over all the lodge parks, which are among the most complex operations in State Parks.
