Assistant Brigade Engineer
Assignment with 10th Mountain Division Ft Drum, NY. Assistant Brigade Engineer Officer responsible for all ground missions and logistical requirements needed for a Battalion sized Combat Engineer element. Controlled all engineer supply and assets valued at over $4,000,000. Acting First Sergeant/Platoon Leader leading a 125-man company in the execution and evaluation of assigned missions, tasks and collective training. Interfaced with supported unit operations to ensure optimal engineer support to a light infantry/airborne division. Participated in Operation Restore Democracy (Haiti).

Special Forces Engineer Sergeant
Assignment with 10th Special Forces Group Ft Devens, MA. 18C Special Forces Engineer Sergeant. Participated in special operations related fields of unconventional warfare; including numerous foreign internal defense and direct action missions as part of a small team / detachment. Responsible for demolitions, reconnaissance, and engineer (combat) construction missions worldwide. Contingency deployments to Panama, Central America and Nogales, Arizona (JTF6 border patrol) for essential real-world missions. Annual rotations for Cadet Augmentation at the US Military Academy, West Point NY. Participated in Operation Just Cause (Panama).

Platoon Sergeant
Assignment with 1st Armor Division Bamberg, Germany. Platoon Sergeant of an engineer task force in direct support of a Mechanized Armor Battalion for reinforcement of East German/Czechoslovakian Border. Patrolled and secured HOF Border region of Southeastern Germany. Provided direct support to 1st Armor for gunnery range training/ operations and acquisition. Trained and familiarized with West German small arms in semi-annual qualifications. Awarded German Shutzenshnur in Gold (highest level) for rifle marksmanship and physical fitness tasks. Participated in Reforgers 86-88.

Squad Leader
Assignment with 101st Airborne Division Ft Campbell, KY. Squad Leader in charge of 10 men in the execution of engineer tasks and infantry support missions. Post rifle champion in 1984/85. Selected for the United States Army Marksmanship Unit (Ft Benning, GA). Competed against civilians, active duty and reserve Army, Marines, Navy and Air Force. Honors included the 1984 Kentucky State Service Rifle Champion, 1985 Indiana State Regional Rifle Champion, and Army USAMU Team won the National Trophy Team Championship of 1984. Attended Army Sniper School, graduating with top-honors from the course.
