Lead a contracting directorate consisting of 13 officers and 9 enlisted soldiers responsible for all contracting activity in support of a theater army in time of war. Principle advisor to the Commander 9th (8th) Theater Support Command for all matters relating to contracting. Responsible for the development management supervision policies and procedures involving the acquisition of supplies, services and construction. Supervises solicitation and selection of sources negotiation award administration and closeout of contracts supporting the theater army. Ensures total readiness for wartime support at mobilization. Participated in several Yama-Sakura Exercises with the Japanese Defense Force.

Special responsibilities include coordinating procurement requirements with customers, develop acquisition business strategies, preparing proposal evaluation criteria, conducting negotiations, and finalizing contract award documentation. I oversee all documents, negotiate, administer, and terminate supply, service, and construction contracts issued in support of garrison training, deployment and contingency operations. I was directly responsible for ensuring contracting actions comply with established federal regulations, procedures, and statues. Desert Shield/Desert Storm. I was a company commander in the 5th Bn that was ordered to the vicinity of Safwan Airfield in Iraq. My company were tasked with securing the site where on 3 Mar 91 the negotiations were held between coalition forces and Iraqi leaders to finalize the cease-fire agreements. Regiment earned 4 campaign streamers.
