Historian
Currently working on the 1821-1913 history of the Austro-Hungarian 17th Infantry Regiment. This was a Slovene regiment that saw combat all across Northern Italy and in Bosnia during that time and whose stories and history were "lost" during the communist Yugoslav era and intense efforts to rewrite history in support of nationalism. I have been conducting research in Austria, Slovenia, Italy, and in Bosnia on this for most of 2016 to insure that the dead laying under the Italian and Balkan sun are never again forgotten.
