Assistant Operations Officer on the battlestaff of an Infantry Brigade Combat Team (BCT) consisting of 3,500 Soldiers capable of worldwide deployment. Assisted the BCT Chief of Operations (CHOPS) with the conduct of operations, creation of plans, execution of the orders process, and execution of training. Responsible for the timely and accurate reporting of significant activities and operations from Brigade to Division. In garrison, served as Special Projects Officer responsible for creating and maintain current operations calendar, tasks, orders, and tracking mechanisms that ensure subordinate unit execution.

Started off as Brigade Battle Captain and quickly transitioned the Chief of Operations during nighttime operations for a combat-deployed Brigade Combat Team (BCT) consisting of 3,400 Soldiers in Iraq. Responsible for supervising and facilitating all United States, Iraqi Security Force (ISF), Special Operations Forces, and civilian agencies operations conducted within the BCT operational environment (OE). As the Assistant Operations Officer, responsible for the coordination and synchronization of 2BCT operations to include Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance (ISR) assets, Indirect Fire assets, Close-Air Support (CAS) assets, and Army Rotary wing aviation assets. Responsible for BCT Tactical Operations Center (TOC) operations and functionality, and the Brigade Commander's morning brief.

Hand-selected by the Battalion Commander to reconstitute and stand-up the battalion's Scout Reconnaissance Platoon, which had been disbanded many years prior. Developed a recruitment trial, and brand new training plan, before deploying the unit in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom's (OIF) Phase 6: Iraqi Sovereignty in October 2009.
