Bio 

Lieutenant Colonel Klug enlisted in 1984 and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Oregon Army National Guard in August 1996. Prior to his commissioning, he served as an infantryman in the United States Marine Corps and in the United States Army; as an instructor in the Army Reserve, and the Oregon Army National Guard. He retired on 30 April 2021.

Serves as a J5 Future Plans Officer for the Joint Domestic Operations Command. Assists the J5 in the development and implementation of ORNG Joint civil response support plans. Integrates interagency, Oregon Office of Emergency Management and command efforts towards the attainment of the TAG's vision, goals and objectives. Translates and integrates TAG, JDOC guidance, and State plans into operational ORNG-level policy, plans and long-range training guidance.
