I was in the Oregon National guard for a bit over 4 years. Served with some good soldiers, and some who should never have put on a uniform. I was sexually assaulted on 3 occasions, two reported and the third having gone unreported because our unit didn't really seem to care. And I was never given the opportunity to grow in my unit despite volunteering for training and schooling.
