Bio

Born in PA (1956), raised in CA (59 thru 69 , teenage years (69-75) in Idaho which is where I said "I do" to you know who (our good old "Uncle Sammy"!) in May '75. I served in various units and was married while at Ft Campbell in 1990. In the end I was "drafted" into a PM shop working SOA Aviation Programs. I have two grown children one of whom is an 11B at JBER, AK /Deployed with the ANA.

Military Experiences

May 1975 - Aug 2000
Rotary Wing Aviator (Helo Pilot)
Ten years give or take in what aviation folks call "muddy boots" Divisional Aviation units... starting with D-3/5 CAV & 116th AVN (9ID) at Ft Lewis from 76-80, 501st AVN (1st AD) in the FRG 80-83, 213th AVN Mar 84-85, and then TF160/160th SOAR (ABN) from '85-2000 to "finish it up". Started in Hueys and OH-58's, graduated to Chinooks just before I went to Korea and stayed in them. Flew CH-47B/C/SuperC, then CH/MH47D and MH-47E until I retired. I'm a "Hooker". (And proud of it!) As long as your job is not "Attack" (where you call in a Snake or an Apache) the "Hook" is the most versatile and capable "lifting machine" the Army has.
