Repair Division Officer
Supervised seven line managers and 160 repair technicians in maintaining and repairing a fleet of 35 US Navy Hovercraft. Developed the Enhanced Maintenance concept for Intermediate-level repairs to marine gas turbine engines, a forecast of work and associated repairs that allowed for a higher degree of budgeting confidence and reduced the average repair period and maintaining 90 percent of the craft in operational status. Developed methods by which the U.S Navy and U.S Army hovercraft commands could use common maintenance procedures, resulting in a reduction of down time and increased savings for both organizations. Represented the Navy’s Hovercraft community at the Marine Gas Turbine Support Board. Organized planning and preparations for the organization’s first IMA Audit, successfully.
