I joined the Army while I was a senior in high school taking all my physical and mental tests....I immediately left for active RA Army just 4 days after graduating. I took Basic Training at Fort Knox, Kentucky....AIT at Fort Jackson...then off to the 568th Engineer zcompany in Hanau, Germany....then off to Vietnam in 1969 serving in HHC then D Co, 4th Bn 31st Inf, 196th LIB as an RTO

AO was a small village in I Corp (near DMZ and Laos border)...also was on LZ West (a firebase high in the mountain range)
