Bio
I joined the Navy on 08SEP1992, flying out to RTC/NTC San Diego, later on that night. I served on the USS PYRO (AE-24) until the Decom Ceremony, then was stationed on the USS KISKA (AE-35), until I had 2 seizures there, & 1 more at Treasure Island, ending my brief Navy Career. I've worked in retail before and after then. Right now, I clean an apartment for a Vietnam Era Navy Veteran.
Military Experiences
May 1994 - Dec 1995
PNSN
Was originally assigned to 1st Division, then RASE Division, and eventually to XNAV, as a Personellman. I preformed the same duties that I had learned on my 1st ship, until I took the 3rd Class test for PN. In the Ship's Office, I learned and performed a lot of office duties for the Enlisted Personal. I will never forget the last WESTPAC that our ship had, especially for the Shellback part of it! I made a lot of friends who I am proud to call my Shipmates, and I stay in touch with many of them today!
Jan 1993 - May 1994
Deck Seaman
Was assigned to RASE Division. Learned basically how to paint, do cleaning - a lot of cleaning, lol! Took part of many unreps, stood watches in port and underway. I was part of the Decommissioning Crew. I made a lot of friends, who I am proud to call my Shipmates, and I stay in touch with a few of them to this day!
