At best, I had a lukewarm relationship with my enlistment. My professional goals, currently, are to return to school and continue my education in the sciences by attaining a BS in Physics with a concentration in applied physics, ultimately getting a doctorate in Astrophysics in Germany or Scandinavia.

Special Materials Shipping Manager
During Dry Dock Period 2012, I was reassigned from warehouse clerk to Special Materials Shipping Manager when the LS2 in charge of the operation transferred to their next command. As the only other S8 personnel left in the warehouse, I was expected to support all warehouse operations as well as assure that special materials for electronic warfare, CWIS, and other electronic components were shipped to proper repair locations in a timely manner.

Warehouse Clerk
During the Dry Dock Period 2012, I was reassigned from S8 Division to the support-position warehouse. My responsibilities as a warehouse clerk involved transporting DDP repair parts from Auburn to Puget Sound Naval Shipyard Kitsap - Bremerton, in-warehouse parts issuing, transferring repair parts from the warehouse to the dry dock via Mule Tractor-train, and operating a 16k forklift.

Supervised six seamen in issuing, receiving, stowing, and maintaining office consumable parts for Supply Department's S8 Division Main 1 series storerooms. Because of a lack of petty officers in S8, I was expected to step up and assume the responsibility of a Work Center Supervisor despite being a non-petty officer.
