Bio
I have several years as a projectionist all films except 70mm. I was a theatre sound engineer in Colorado in the late 70s. From there I worked in oil field electronics for 7 years. I finished my working career as an over the road truck driver. I also volunteer @ VA Fort Worth Outpatient Clinic.
Retired truck driver I have been to all 50 states.

Jul 1964 - Dec 1964
PO in Charge of side cleaners
Painted the sides of the ship and Charlie Noble. Also received the honor of having my crew paint over TRICKY DICKY on the bow before passing Pt. Loma on return from deployment.
Dec 1963 - Dec 1964
Petty Officer
After reporting aboard in Dec 63 we departed to WestPac in early January 64. A short stop in Pearl. Then to Yokosuka. We made several ports to include Subic, Hong Kong, and Sasebo. In early April we departed Hong Kong and after transiting the Malacca Straits we entered the Indian Ocean. Our 1st port of call was Diego Suarez Madagascar. Then to Mombasa Kenya and Aden. We performed an airshow for the Shan of Iran. Back in Japan after leaving Sasebo we lost one of our reduction gears. 30 Days in Yokosuka. Then to Yankee Station for 49 days. 19 of those days filling in for Ranger. Then to Yokosuka and return to Conus.
