Many different experiences as I go through Life. I enjoyed being a Mental Health Consumer Advocate when I lived in SE Iowa 9 yrs. ago. Started my own support group called Peace of Mind.very successful!! Attended many Mental Health conferences around the state of Iowa. Met with Senator's and other lawmakers at the state Capital in Des Moines as a result of the Conferences. We lived in Iowa for 13 yrs. Love the severe weather! Iowa is my home state. I believe in Lifelong learning, our experiences in life help shape us into who we are. I loved the Air Guard, best years of my life!! Will add more information as time goes on.

Back up Cook, specializing in Desserts, Baker. Made some great cheesecakes! Burnt the bacon, first time I used a Convection oven. Those were the days!! Base closed permanently in 1995

Wrote lesson plans, gave classes on Weapons maintainence, breakdown. Participated in teaching Drill and Ceremonies to new recruits before they shipped off to BCT. Taught me how to perform in front of people. I was very nervous. It helped me when I was a Mental Health Consumer Advocate in Iowa.

Operation of Air Compressors Backhoes, was introduced to electric Jackhammers, Sandblasting equipment, etc. Am fuzzy on exact dates served, will have to consult my records.

Infantryman for about 2 yrs., went to school at Ft. Gordon to train as a Tactical Field Wireman, failed course. Secondary MOS: Food Service Specialist. I had finally found my Niche. Discovered my hidden talents. Volunteered for extra duty assignments, loved to travel. Went to England, trained with the Scottish Lowlander's. It was an exchange program, their troops went to Ft. Ord, I heard they liked to get really drunk. Fantastic experience!!
