Bio
I was a black shoe in a brown shoe Navy. I served from August 1973 until May 1976 in Corpus Christi, TX at Training Squadron 28 (VT28). I was a Yeoman and only one a very few women there at the time.
In 1980 I started LPN school in DeQueen, AR after following my then spouse. I became an LPN and continued to follow the then spouse to other duty stations. In 1987 when we went to NAS JAX, I worked for the Moose Organization in Orange Park, FL. The Women of the Moose Chapter there gave me a scholarship to get my ADN and I did. I have always and will continue to work Long Term Care, but so many guidelines make it difficult to care for patients.
