Bio
After my military service I went to Cypress College and worked in the construction industry. I completed cabinet making training and later had my own cabinet business. I became a licensed General Contractor in 1983. In 2010 my wife and I purchased a seasonal restaurant, pie and ice cream parlor. We are open from May - October in Custer, South Dakota. Bobkat's Old Fashion Purple Pie Place.

Vietnam War
I was sent to Fort Hood TX in June 1967; assigned to Co B, 1st Bn, 6th Inf, 198th Inf Bde. We deployed from Oakland, CA on the USNS Upshur October 4, 1967. There were 3,600 men 1/6th, 1/46th, 1/52nd. We joined the 23rd Inf Americal Division which was Task Force Oregon. The 196th Inf Bde was already there and the 11th Inf Bde joined us in Nov 1967.
