Is this actually a requirement for the civilian recruiting program? It's a requirement for in service recruits, but it seems a bit unlikely it would be a requirement for civilians since most of the country is nowhere near an Army airfield with pilots.

While I'm sure it would make your packet stronger, don't delay submitting it if it isn't an absolute black and white requirement.

Mason Granke what I'm asking is are you required to have one from an Army Pilot? I'm aware you need LORs in general, but I'm pretty sure you do not need one specifically from an Army Aviation Warrant for the Civilian Recruiting program, like you would for in service recruits

Do you fly on the civilian side? If so, ask around. I can almost guarantee there's a retired military aviator somewhere around.

Have you checked for Guard and Reserve Aviation units in your area? Call the unit and see if you could come in during a drill weekend. Show interest and I'm sure one of the pilots would be happy to talk to you.

Your packet does not require an LOR, having one might be nice, it is not a requirement. Even if you could get to a base, what good is a letter from a random acquaintance.

Submit your packet as required.
