I was just informed that I will be inducted into the Army Officer Candidate School Hall of Fame in May 2019 at Ft. Benning, GA. I am both humbled and honored to join those already enshrined at Ft. Benning. I am joining my OCS Classmate and lifelong friend and comrade in arms - LTC Joe Step in the Hall of Fame. Joe was inducted last year. We were both Officer Candidates 41 years ago - enduring the crucible that was and still is OCS; not knowing if we would graduate, always being pushed to exceed what we thought was impossible to achieve. Now, we are both members of very distinct group of OCS Graduates. To believe that we would ever achieve this level of distinction 41 years ago would be, to say the least, implausible.
