Will getting promoted mean I cannot go to the board?

I am supposed to go to the BDE and Post Soldier of the Quarter/ Year Board. Will being promoted to E-5 mean i can no longer attend?

Well, not for the Soldier portion but you could for the NCO portion.

Ask your NCO chain. I have seen it both ways where a soldier begins boarding and makes to HHQ boards and gets promoted. It’s really up to the CSMs

It should state the rank requirements and restrictions in the LOI.
