I just got an NCOER corrected from 2008.  The Army Board of Corrections says that I can request a STAB for every year since that NCOER to see if I would have been picked up for SFC with the correct NCOER in my record.

I've only known of one. It was successful, but slow.

Google "STAB board". Two of the links are from HRC and include samples and references.

From what I've heard, they are fair and impartial. Plus any bitter leadership can't input a derog letter to stop one.

Any results if positive will include backdating rank and pay.

I was selected for promotion in March of 2013. My sequence number would have had me promoted in December of 2013. I had a long process of fighting some false allegations and clearing my name and cleaning up my record over the last 2 and a half years. My file was submitted to the centralized MSG promotion board that convened in March of this year (2016). I am wondering how I find out what the decision was. I understand that my chain of command receives notification. I am wondering if the decision made reflects on my ERB or anywhere else in my file that I am able to see?

They will notify you directly with a memo if the result of the board. As for knowing exactly it took just over 3 weeks from when the initial memo stated the result would be released

They only give approximate timelines on notification as the list has to go through multiple layers of verification and approval. Your chain will you usually notify you when everyone has been notified so you know not to be waiting for notification any longer.

Does anyone know the timeline following a recent board to submit a STAB?

SFC(P) (Join to see) - I did. I was not retained on the previous selection. Still trying to fight the situation as there are other factors still not being taken care of

Anyone out there actually sat in on a STAB? I have a question about the actual process of the board.
