For transferring from the National Guard to active duty, how long is the process and what is the likelihood of getting approved?

I am currently a PA National Guard 2LT and I would like to transfer to active duty. Can anyone provide me with details of how long of a process it is? The likelihood of getting approved?
I have my company and battalion commanders verbal approval.

Your best bet is the Call to Active Duty program. They opened it up to LTs in all basic branches last year. That’s how I was able to transfer. They might open it again depending on the need.

I tried this as well, but I was a 1LT at the time. This can be tricky as the guard has already sunk money into you possibly with ROTC and/or schooling and would not want to give up such an asset.
