When I was the First Sergeant for an AC/RC unit I loved speaking with soon to be separated or recently separated soldiers about continuing service in our training battalion, the opportunities for promotion, professional growth and the networking available for civilian employment. I never realized how many different positions and MOS schools were available to the reserve soldiers until I was in this unit. There is no reason to let the time you served on active duty go to waste. Finish it out so that you can collect an additional bit of money for your retirement years.
