It's gonna be hot man, just keep a low profile, show up on time in the right uniform, and above all hydrate. You'll see many kids passing out.

I went there for Basic. It is hot as hell there (I personally love the heat so I was happy)...always have your canteen on you, you'll regret it if you don't. The drill sargents are crazy tough but for a reason and you'll appreciate it by the time you leave. I had one, female, Watson was her name I believe...tougher then all the male drill sargents combined. Had mad respect for her. Missed that base when I left.

July 10th? Expect it to be hot. Expect to get smoked a lot. Hydrate, and if you don't like being in the sand then I feel sorry for you.
