5 Thoughts on Acquiring a Federal Job
Since I recently retired from the federal service, I have a lot of people asking me about how to get a federal job. This is especially true since I worked at three different agencies/departments both in the US and overseas with a security clearance. Additionally, I have been both the hunter and the hiring manager so it compounds matter and encourages people to ask me frequently about how to be successful in their job hunts.

In turn, here are a few best practices and lessons learned I have acquired over the years. They may not be perfect, all-encompassing but they should shed some light on some of the realities.
