Will security guards be a thing of the past? Will this be a job our grand kids could never imagine humans working? Times are changing. The issue of a guard failing to follow orders could become outdated. The future will be that the software coder is going to be in trouble, vice the human security guard.

Security Guards are doing more than ever, As a government contractor I transport federal detainees from the border to a facility, if they have to go to the hospital we pick them up and sit on them in the hospital, we move them. We put them on planes, escort detainees across the nation in cars and planes. We guard federal facilities allowing sworn officers to be in the streets, we have police powers when we have detainees. I don't see protection or human assets going anywhere in the near future. Cameras, underground sensors are force multipliers but you need the guard.
