This link leads to a survey for military/veterans to assist in guiding research of stolen valor. In America there are cases everyday of people pretending to be military or veterans in many forms. My current work in the field of psychology studies the types of people who we believe are more likely to commit stolen valor however, myself and my advising professor believe that additional insight from current service members and veterans would be optimal in order to more efficiently evaluate the likelihood of certain types of people committing stolen valor. The following survey is completely anonymous and the questions are optional however, providing as much information as possible will be key in advancing this study. While current legislation is very specific about what constitutes stolen valor, we would like to hear from the community to better adapt what they personally feel consists of stolen valor as well to better guide our research parameters with the civilian populace.
