I use an SSD in my primary PC. The first SSD, Samsung SSD 850 EVO, I had one failure after a year and I replaced it with one that's easily got 3 years on it. My NAS is using four 3TB HHDs. I thought about SSDs for the NAS, but the price... With the HHDs in a raid 5 setup, I'm not worried about data loss.
