Just a reminder the majority of the Kurds that are fighting the Turks right now are Christians! A few days ago the YPG / Kurds were our allies in the conflict in Syria, but POTUS gave the order to abandon them. This scenario really gives new meaning to the old adage , "What are friends for?"

The main religions of 90% of the Kurds in the Syria/Turkey Region are Zoroastrianism, Yarsanism, Yazidism and Alevism, not Christianity or Islamic which are around 3% each. Taoism, Judaism and Buddhism make up another 3%. The last 1% are erotic religions on less than a 1000 family groups.
When you look at the differences of the main four - think of the Baptist, Anabaptist's, Lutherans, and Presbyterians faiths. Different but still categorized collectively as Christians.
