Jodie Foster potential Oscar winner for Gitmo film role

If Jodie Foster is considered for The Mauritanian, then I suppose anything goes. The sympathy for the Devil film is based on the lies of a sworn al Qaeda operative who worked closely with Usamma bin Laden, recruited 9/11 terror bombers, ran al Qaeda cells in Germany and Canada, planned the failed Millennial bombing of LAX. With the recurring theme of the "victim" terrorist not getting a trial, the film ignores or explains away the terrorists own choices in his demise. No honest explanation of his role in the Global War on Terror, the film also hides the true nature of the US military detention facility at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, which is to gain valuable information from unlawful combatant Islamists who want to kill us which could save many lives. 731 detainees RELEASED, and NONE beheaded, executed, blown up, hacked to death, dragged naked and lifeless through the streets, drowned or burned alive. All things our enemies have done to US and/or our allies. There is no moral comparison between Gitmo and how our enemies treat their captives. The Mauritanian misses the mark all over the place, and Foster is to blame. She should know better. Sincerely, MAJ (RET) Montgomery J. Granger, former ranking US Army Medical Department officer with the Joint Detainee Operations Group, JTF 160. Author: Saving Grace at Guantanamo Bay: A Memoir of a Citizen Warrior. Narrator: Heroes of GITMO, a PolitiFlix short documentary based on my book, available on YouTube.
